Welcome at KNMI Aviation Weather

Notice update:

2e Wijziging datum lancering vernieuwde Luchtvaartmeteo.nl website

2nd Change in Launch date of new aviationweather.nl website

What?

KNMI is renewing the aviationweather.nl extranet. At this moment, the new website is presented at the URL https://nieuw.luchtvaartmeteo.nl. In due time the new website will be moved to the commonly well-known original URL https://www.luchtvaartmeteo.nl (also known as https://www.aviationweather.nl). The old website, now still using the URL luchtvaartmeteo.nl, will then be moved for a temporarily transition period to https://oud.luchtvaartmeteo.nl.

When?

In order to allow all affiliated aviation organizations sufficient time to connect their members to the renewed website, the KNMI is postponing the relocation of the URL’s until January 25th 2022. From January 25th, you will be connected to the new aviationweather website when you use the URL’s https://www.luchtvaartmeteo.nl or https://aviationweather.nl.

How?

You should by now have received a KNMI e-mail with which you can register yourself at the new aviationweatherwebsite. Make sure you complete this registration ahead of January 25th 2022. In case you did not seem to have received such an email please first check your SPAM email box. When no email can be found there, you are advised to contact the administration of the aviation organization to which you are affiliated.

MISSING NAF area 4

Due to the decommissioning of North Sea platform F16-A (EHFZ) there will be no meteorological observation (AUTO METAR) from F16-A (EHFZ) as of September 1st 2020. As a consequence the North Sea Area Forecast (NAF) for area 4 will be published as ‘NIL’ due to this lack of information on site. KNMI is exploring alternative observation locations for future provision of AUTO METAR and NAF for North Sea Area Amsterdam area 4
